8 week – Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
This Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Course (MBSR) is designed to help you build up your own internal resources to deal with the stresses of life. Mindfulness is about becoming familiar with your own mind, learning to be aware, awake, and present in each moment. It involves learning to relate to difficulties in a new way and to regain a sense of balance in life.
In the sessions we will experience and explore together various meditative practices, and learn new ways of dealing with what goes on in our bodies and minds.
2023, the MBSR Course consists of:
- An evening session of 2 hours and 30 minutes for 8 consecutive weeks
- Wednesday 6.30pm – 9.00pm
- A retreat day (10am -4.00pm) typically after the 6th week
- A willingness to engage in some home practice of Mindfulness Meditations approximately 30 minutes a day using instructional audio recordings during the 8 weeks
- Cost: €250.00

In 2015 Maurice developed an interest in mindfulness as both a therapeutic tool for stress reduction and as a means for a more fulfilled life. Since then, he has attained an MSc in Mindfulness-Based Interventions from UCD. Maurice is also a member of the Mindfulness Teachers Association of Ireland (MTAI).
